Ancient Thira

The town of ancient Thera is one of the few surviving examples of ancient cities. It is located in a beautiful spot overlooking the vast sea. During your walk on the stone-paved path you will see public buildings, the most interesting of which are the Agora, the Royal Stoa (covered walkway), the Sanctuary of Artemis, the Sanctuary of Apollo Karneios, and the magnificent theater overlooking the Aegean.
